Bags For Bucks Fund Raiser

May 1st, was the kick off as Community Health Free Clinic partnered with Guaranty Bank to sponsor its first annual “Bags for Bucks” fund raiser. Guaranty Bank and CHFC asked the public to donate new and gently used purses and neck ties during the months of March and April. “We were blown away by how many purses and ties were donated to us,” stated Judy Cheney, Vice President of Guaranty Bank.

One hundred people, were waiting for the doors to open on sale day to start shopping. The bank was continually busy for the next three hours. A total of $3,886 was raised during the first annual fund raiser. Plans are already underway for next year. Donations for next years “Bags for Bucks” will start in August. A special thank you to Guaranty Bank for donating employee time and facilities for this fun event.
