Eye Clinic

The Eye Clinic at Community Health Free Clinic provides diagnostic exams and treatment for individuals dealing with eye disease as well as those with poor vision.

Eye disease is often a complication due to chronic conditions such as diabetes. Uninsured and underserved adults are at a higher risk of not receiving eye treatment in a timely manner due to the lack of services available to them. This can lead to permanent damage.

Individuals experiencing vision issues can experience a loss of independence or limitations on everyday functions – unable to drive, read written materials, or secure employment. In some cases, it can be as simple as a pair of reading glasses. In other situations, corrective eye glasses are prescribed.

  • Visits for the Eye Clinic are by appointment.
  • Vision exams are offered but on a limited basis.
  • A prescription for glasses can often be given as part of the exam, but the purchase of glasses usually will be the patient’s responsibility.
  • Contact Community Health Free Clinic and you will be notified when an appointment has been made.
